How to Make a Thorough Bathroom Cleaning?

Although we clean the bathroom every week, sometimes it’s good to dedicate some time to a throughout and deep cleaning. But what do we need to think about?

First of all, keep in mind to move from the ceiling to the floor, this way the parts that you already cleaned won’t be dirty again. Get rid of spidernets and wipe the walls with a wet cloth, for example a clean microfiber mop. Although we don’t usually wash painted walls, but dust and dirt affects those as well, so it is good to wipe them down from time to time.

If we have a vent, wash that as well. If it supposed to be white, but it’s more yellowish, try to clean it with yellow Cif Cream and you will experience miracles. The next is the lamp, then the tiles and the shower cabin. Give attention to the grout as well, this can imporve a lot the overall look of the bathroom. This applies to the floor tiles as well.

When we finished with the basic surfaces, let’s continue with the faucets. there is a large variety of cleaning products specially for these, but if the dirt is too stubborn on the shower head for example, we can try soaking it in water mixed with vinegar, tying a plastic bag on the shower head with the mixture for sevaral hours and making sure that it is completely in the solution. If you want to save time at the next cleaning, you can wipe down the faucets and the vents with wax, exacly as you’d do with a car and dust will not stick to it as easily.

If the faucets are shining, we can move forward to the upper cabinets and outer racks. Wash them well inside and outside, wipe the products as well if they are dirty and put them back in order. This applies to the objects that are outside as well, like toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, shampoo, shower gel, bath toys. After the upper cabinets let’s clean the lower cabinets as well in the same way. Don’t forget to clean under and near the cabinets, which you might reach harder and the light switches as well.

When all these are done, next is the bathtub and the toilet bowl. Clean them well, inside and outside, we have plenty of products to choose from that are specially made for these. Don’t forget the shower curtain, if it is plastic, Cif Cream can make miracles with it and if it’s fabric, throw it in the washing machine. Don't forget the bath mats. Leave the sink and the mirror to the end, because they will probably get dirty otherwise. If we already took care of the grout on the floor as well, just wipe it fast, change the towels and enjoy the results of our work.
